This is a first post, please be patient! 🙂
Ok, so we are getting to grips with WordPress. Once you are logged in there is plenty of choice in how to set up your site. Already the site is hungry, we need to feed it with content.
Why do this?
- We want to give you a sense of not just what we develop but how and why we develop?
- The design and develop process is a way for us to get insight into the issues surrounding human computer interaction.
- By focussing on the needs of different user groups we hope to create better and more useful engagement.
What we have learned is that while our original aims were based on helping people with sight loss. We have found there are wider issues with making sure everyone can access computers and the internet.
We can only make a small contribution to that, but as well as an app we think a website will broaden our reach. It also allows us to share ideas as soon as we have them. Otherwise we have to build them into an app and deploy them, which takes AGES!
- Why are you blogging publicly, rather than keeping a personal journal?
- What topics do you think you’ll write about?
- Who would you love to connect with via your blog?
- If you blog successfully throughout the next year, what would you hope to have accomplished?
Have a look round the site and get in touch if you feel like it – we are keen to hear your thoughts.
